Some very unique challenges with camera work. Leading the series I was charged with looking at all tracks and match moves and ensuring they met requirements. The layout was being used often as most sets were CG and we often did CG camera takeovers to help sell the fantasy world. Very fun project hope to work on more shows as unique.
A lead tracking/matchmove and layout artist for a few episodes. Mr. X FX didn't do all the episodes. We focused on the Wraiths and the SanFran episodes. Skull mountain as well.

Vikings season #5 started just before my parental leave. I was able to get the Alexa Mini with some new anamorphic lenses as well as our spherical lens set up for the crew to take on this awesome series.
I was honored to be the Tracking and Layout lead again, on Season #4 of the popular TV series "Vikings". Worked on 202 VFX shots on this staggering heavy VFX show. Oversaw every shot that required a 3D camera. Very fun team to work with on this challenging show. Camera tracking water is no easy task and we took it on may times with great results.

I was the only tracking artist on the Mr X team working at the Technicolour location for this show. I had the pleasure of tracking and doing layout for around 178 shots in the 6 month period. It was nice to break off into a smaller team of around 13-20 artists to take on some fun puzzles. From adding ships and little bots, to animating some holograms and solving some unique cameras. The shots we worked on were mainly shot with an Alexa and Blackmagic. Some of my first quadcopter camera tracks giving very shaky results that we were able to smooth out in Nuke.

Previsualization for the 2013 film remake of Carrie. Working from boards to give the live action crew a 3D representation of what they can shoot. Helping trouble shoot any issues with angles and objects that may create issues on set.

We used Pftrack to do geo tracking and some camera tracking. PFmatchit to do object tracking and camera tracking. Nuke to do slap compositions for dailies and checking it works with the footage. After creating the tracks in Maya we would export Chan, Alembic, and Bgeo files into Houdini for hair simulations.

Animated the opening, with the exception of the bugs and a few chickens.
I am very proud of this production! I learned a great deal about myself and what was possible.
Assisted in creating two commercials for The Globe and Mail. Created CG Heart illustrated people, and helped with animation and creation of elements including the Vancouver skyline and poppies.
Animated yelling demon which got cutted from the film and flapping winged demon cycles.

Animated 26X 11 minute episodes out in Halifax for a show called "Bo on the Go!"
We mainly animated Bo, Dezzy, and the Wizard.
Most of my work was done on even number episodes named Bo and the Doodlebug, Bo and the Fuzzyflump, Bo and the Snootzer, and Bo and the Sproing (I animated the Sproing character). To name a few.
